In June, timber sales in Finland witnessed a notable surge in prices. Spruce logs were sold at an average price of EUR 77.8 per cubic meter, while pine logs fetched EUR 73.7 per cubic meter. Although there was a slight dip of two percent compared to May, the real prices still remained four to five percent higher than the average for the previous year.
Meanwhile, birch logs commanded an average price of EUR 60.7 per cubic meter, marking a four percent increase from May and an impressive 19 percent surge from the previous year’s average. This significant price hike reflects the growing demand for birch logs in the market.
