In August, the average price paid for spruce logs in standing sales in Finland stood at EUR 73.5 per cubic metre, while the average price for pine logs was slightly lower at EUR 69.2. These prices experienced a two percent decline from the previous month, ending slightly below the average prices for the entirety of last year in real terms. On the other hand, the average price of birch logs in Finland reached EUR 58.6, marking a two percent increase from July and a significant 15 percent higher than the average for the whole of last year.
