The wood market in Latvia has experienced significant price fluctuations for various wood products from the latter half of 2022 through early 2023. These price changes can be attributed to several factors, including shifts in demand, supply dynamics, and market forces.
One notable trend is the steady price growth of pine logs with a diameter of up to 14 cm. In the second half of 2021, the price stood at 58.87 EUR/m3, but it increased to 94.20 EUR/m3 in the first half of 2023. This represents an impressive 59.74% increase in price.
